About Us
The couple behind Ishita Interiors
We’re Ishita and Harshad, the husband–and–wife team behind Ishita Interiors.
Our story starts long before mood boards and install days. Ishita grew up in Mumbai, surrounded by color, texture, and the energy of Bollywood film sets. She went on to work in set design and styling, learning how to shape emotion through space, light, and detail. Harshad grew up in India too, endlessly curious about how things work and how far they can go. That curiosity led him into aerospace engineering, then a career as a systems engineer in the United States, where precision and problem-solving became his everyday language.
Travel was the common thread that pulled us together. Weekends were spent chasing new places, unique stays, and those little details that turn a trip into a memory. We didn’t know it at the time, but we were studying hospitality—how it feels to arrive, to belong, to be surprised in the best way.
Instead, it became the spark for an entirely new chapter. Ishita saw a canvas where most people saw an old cabin. Harshad saw a business model where most people saw risk. Together we poured ourselves into that space—design, operations, guest experience, numbers—and the response from guests changed everything.
One project turned into a few, a few turned into many, and eventually Ishita Interiors was born. Today, we still design the way we live: collaboratively, playfully, and with a deep respect for both beauty and practicality. We’re hosts and investors ourselves, but at the heart of it, we’re just two people who believe that thoughtfully designed spaces can change how people feel, connect, and remember their time away.
If we get to work together, we don’t just want to design “a property” for you. We want to help you create a place your guests talk about long after they’ve checked out—and a chapter in your own story that you feel proud of.

From early concept and space planning to sourcing, installation, and styling, we stay with you through the process. Our goal is to remove decision fatigue and keep you moving forward, with clear steps and communication along the way.
